Run GHLtar Utility. GHLtarUtility.exe - for Windows 10. GHLtarUtilityLite.exe - for Windows 7/8.1, doesn't have iOS support! Connect your dongle if using the Wii U/PS3 guitar, turn on your guitar if using the iOS guitar. Start Clone Hero and make sure all buttons are mapped correctly (by default they are mapped 1:1 to the 360 GHL guitar)

A: Connecting your wireless Guitar Hero guitar to the PS2 is a breeze. First, make sure the console is turned off. Then, plug the wireless receiver into one of the controller ports on the front of the console. Next, turn on the PS2 and press the connect button on the wireless receiver.
You can add all the songs from the old gh games into it. Xbox controllers require licensing for the wireless. So not easy to make now. I’ve found plenty of guitar hero guitars for Xbox and Wii for pretty reasonable price, about $30-40 it’s the adapters that seem so expensive.
Get a guitar hero controller particularly an Xbox or ps3 guitar hero controller. For Xbox 360 all you need is a wireless adapter and you’ll be good to go. For ps3 you’ll need a dongle and the guitar but those altogether are not cheap. I think you should go for an Xbox 360 explorer guitar and download clone hero on pc. Everybody uses that
It is an Xbox 360 version of the controller. IIRC, almost all Guitar Hero controllers that have are wireless used a 2.4GHz connection, however it was not Bluetooth or anything, it was proprietary. The only ones that used Bluetooth was the Wii (except the GHL) and the iOS one (i think)
PS2>USB converter for PC ∞ - This allows you to plug a PS2 controller into a USB port of a PC. You may need Joy2Key or Glovepie to map the buttons. With the Kramer you just have to hold Start + Select + Strum Down and it will map the Strum Bar to the DPAD, thus you can use the whammy to play the game easily.
Search and download clone hero. Get songs from the chorus website (listed on the clone hero sub Reddit). Get an xplorer usb wired guitar or get an Xbox 360 wireless guitar and Xbox 360 wireless controller adapter. Enjoy. I’d post links for you but I’m on my phone. But everything is very easy to find.
Otherwise, you can play a song "on demand" as often as you'd like. FreeStyleGames said GHTV is the platform from which it will update Guitar Hero Live with new songs for players to download.
I play guitar hero 3 on xbox 360 and I’ve always played with a controller. I wanna try using an actual guitar controller and everyone has said that the wii guitars are the best but I’ve only seen people using the wii guitars on wii and pc.
Awkward but playable. Can't remember which console but ya, way outside of the norm. No other current or next-gen game support the instrument controllers officially. But you can technically use a guitar or drum controller on any game, it will just be near unplayable.

Sorry Wii Rock Banders – since there’s no Wii U version of Rock Band 4, and no way to transfer those licenses to either Xbox One or PS4, you’re out of luck. Subsequently, can you play Guitar Hero on PS4 with controller? No problem! You can just use a regular controller.
